It's en entirely different easement.First step is to do the numbers and see what it would take to make it worth your while to buy an easement.

That would make her more likely to go along with it as a long term en devour (if you plan on house hacking a few more times).

Is there room within the units to put the laundry en-suite?

My goal is to refrain from using any cash / personal credit / hard money for my real estate en devours. 

It wasn't feasible to run an exhaust vent in the older condo that wasn't built with en suite laundry, so this was the alternative I installed.
