The best way I've heard the difference described is that you wouldn't remove your bumper, windshield, and seat belts just because you have auto insurance.Finally, you signed the promissory note and are liable for the balance even if you transfer the property.

So a slip and fall, a fire where they claim you did not maintain the smoke detector etc.It does not cover the PM against claims such as discrimination, work comp, or Auto claims which can all be present when managing properties.

Hi Aaron, I typically fill out a FOIA (freedom of Information act form) with the local municipality asking for a copy of the village inspection reports and in my area(south suburbs of chicago) I can typically see if anything is out of code or has been brought up to code.
