If you're going to do this, be sure you have a backup plan in case you're one of the 1% (just a guess) that does get the loan called.I'm also concerned that if interest rates do rise lenders will start looking for these loans and calling to get their low return money back.

There are condos for sale with similar square footage on the adjacent streets within 0.2-0.3 mile away for double the price and luxury high rises, high end gyms, restaurants, bars, and yoga studios, all within a few minutes walking.

What I do know is that when you get outside of Chicago proper property taxes rise dramatically.  2.

If condo prices keep rising 5+% YoY on average over say, next 5 years - then, landlord-ing might return more and will be worth the trouble.The rent is in the 1800-2000 range with utilities included (condo fees include utils).
