At the time, the office-cooler talk was how inexpensive it was to invest in Mexico (homes in Los Angeles were expensive back then, as they still are today).

If you are in southern california, Riverside and San bernadino counties have better yields than Orange and Los angeles.On a personal note, I will buy myself a primary residence first and then get into rentals, but absolutely not a fan of condos due to HOA issues.Do your due diligence and then decide what appeals to you.

I reside in Los Angeles and the prices truly are for the rich and the famous, or so it seems. 

I drove every street on either side of Dodds from 48th to 37th and every street on either side of Rossville from in the same area.The area reminded me of Inglewood or Compton (Los Angeles, CA) back in the day when the latinos were starting to move in and take over streets.

So he often flies into any of the 5 airports around Los Angeles (there are flights to and from LA-Vegas pretty much every hour of the day).  

Specifically, I wanted to check what the tax advantages or possibe tax abatements available to developers building 100% low income, section 8 housing in Los Angeles county.
