It would seem like investors would want the conference here...more "local".  

I’m partial to Metro Phoenix as I’ve lived and invested here since I graduated from ASU a few decades ago.So many different options for investing…and our economy continues to grow. 

Based on suggestions in the forum we googled local community banks in south florida and both that we spoke to seemed very open to the idea of buying in a personal name and then quit claiming the property into an LLC.  

I would begin my investor path by attending the local investor meetings.

I concede that this will be difficult to execute in Charleston (affording a house with STR potential as a FTHB straight out of college), so you may have to take a stair-step approach.In the meantime, get involved with the local REI community.
