It would be my first time attempting a flip, so I'm very open to any and all suggestions.

These issues look to be from the previous owner attempting to rehab and abandoning it in the middle.

You can attempt to do a short sale if the daughter is the executor of the estate.

Even if attempting to clear a french drain doesn't work...and it might not given it could be compressed or damaged by roots...

This is my first attempt at a Brrrr, I’ve been penalized because of this on construction loans before.

Now with a new guy the work is slightly better but my tile floors and very uneven and seeing as this was their attempt to fix the shoddy work I don’t trust them to complete the job anymore.

In that ad clearly state that there has been a fraud attempt and someone who is NOT the owner is trying to sell this house and it is a scam.Next thing you are going to notice is new people moving into your house, believing they are the new owners, with a large loan and lots of lost money. 

I have attempted tile jobs in bathroom renovations, kitchen walls, and entryways, and have attempted carpeting areas, and painting jobs, among other finishing touches, and in almost all cases, the slightest imperfections are easily seen and have defeated the purpose of trying to save money by doing the work myself

And, that's why sellers attempt to not complete it.
