Ethics is a choice, and if you are in business for being fair to all, you will do the right thing, e.g. extend the lease and extend the option to help the buyer buy it.Or you can have the ethics of a car salesman, ie caveat emptor, let the buyer beware.Your choice.

I tell them the conversation I had once with my ex father in-law; he didn't believe in credit or credit cards, and couldn't understand why, when they went out of town, he couldn't just walk up to a rental car company, and plop down full cash, say $500.00 for a weeks rental, as they still wanted a credit card.
