Just some food for thought.

My thoughts are pretty much based on events in the past few months (ie Paris, San Bernardino, and many many massacres) as well as the 2016 cover of The Economist, ie they have a baby staring at a globe which represents the growing global pandemic of a virus patented decades ago and spread by GMmosquitoes and effective in reducing brain mass/intelligence of most children of infected mothers.That plus school shootings, massacres, water shortages, power outages, and a possible shutdown of EBT Food Stamps could quickly spark a chaos scenario in America's most populous multifamilies & cities.Look around at how many commercial/retail spaces are vacant.

I couldn't even see the floor because it was covered with trash and food.

I think it has incredible charm, good food, and great hard working people.  

Mexican War Streets, East Allegheny, Troy Hill?

We go door to door to deliver community newsletters, make detector batteries, surplus food (we have access to eggs and produce).  

I own a very large food processing company, we are currently renting out kitchen space in an ideal facility.  

The cat had gone through the single bowl of food they left, and had taken to eating its own excrement to survive.

They sent us to a hotel for a week (on their dime) and also reimbursed us for all food purchases all week.

Therefore, I'd probably concentrate using 1/2 of the money to actively pursue deals and use the other 1/2 to invest passively and put food on the table.
