He still tells a story from the first year he was in the US; he was talking with some other guys his age at the local pub, when during what he thought was a fun and lively 'debate' one of the Americans in the group stood up and said "F**k you and your fancy education-- I've got a million dollars" and stormed out. 

So essentially, has anyone ever formed an LLC by going through a website and DIY-ing it and then gotten burned/sued when something bad happened and the DIY LLC failed to protect you and your assets?

Here in Upstate NY, I don't know anyone who uses them, nor anyone that had a consequence for not.On my primary residence I've had the faucet valves fatigue after repeated deep freezes (sub-zero F) and develop a drip.

All a lender HAS to do is collect paperwork as-is m-f 9-5, submit to underwriting without thinking or reviewing any of the submitted paperwork, and wait for the inevitable loan denial.
