If we're going to be internally consistent, IMO the playing field has got to be leveled.To do that, you have two choices.If you hard cap everything at 43% (and can no longer sell your home to that FHA buyer utterly maxing themselves out at 56.4% DTI), I can point to some dozens of millions, or hundreds of millions, of American voter homeowners ("homevoters") who will not like the impact this has on their home values, unfortunately.

Hey everyone , I'm new to the forum and i've enjoyed the vast amount of education that Bigger Pockets has to offer .

I have purposely gone into the inspection field to create a business, as well as a good way to network with others Real Estate professionals, and become a full-time real estate investor in the near future.

I have 20 years experience in other fields.

Chris is also the one that explained to me the power of quickly compounding properties instead of buying live-in fixers that take a few years to finish.I agree with @Jeff White as well and will add that I enjoy getting my hands dirty with renovations but I can't wrap my head around how to rent out rooms and renovate at the same time.
