@Nicholas Sambrick In addition to those mentioned, I'd add The Real Estate Rehab Investibing Bible by Paul Esajian, and Real Estate Wholesaling Bible by Than Merrill (even if you aren't planning to wholesale).Also, @brandonturner published "The Best Real Estate Books for Your Investing Business " on BP which might be helpful.I find audio books work best for me on the way to and from work.

You might also want to consider if there are any 3 families on the market though, I like to invest in a certain area of the Bronx and in my area there aren't many 3 family houses so if you're planning to stay in the same area you might want to check out whats on the market/recently sold.

I was just saying in my post above that it's important that your accountant does taxes...PLUS be an advisor (which is where accountants bring the most value).To answer your question:I am assuming you are talking about a fix & flip, rather than a buy/hold.This will not go on Schedule D because you aren't selling an investment with capital gains/losses - you are selling a piece of inventory so there are no capital gains.

Of course, we aren't going to stop buying, but my husband plans to quit his day job within the next few months and I quit mine in February of 2017 when we had our daughter.Anyway, I am rambling, but that is our story and our goals so far!
