I’m in the laborers union but currently unemployed, I have to wait for a company to reach out to me in order to go back to work as a union member. besides building my knowledge with; books, BP, YouTube, Facebook groups, practicing analyzing, & so on, what else should I be doing?

As to the advice of trying to sneak in the rough electrical wiring while still getting permits for the other large items, I find this advice is not very practical in most circumstances, the inspector will be there to inspect your other permitted items and there is no way to hide rough electrical rewrite of a home.

While this isn't the best choice, it may be the most practical/only choice.

Here in Maryland I had the honor to be appointed to serve on the state board that regulates inspectors and appraisers, and sat on the sub committee that reviewed inspector complaints.

Plus there are all the special regulations that go along with STRs.....Are you sure you'll be comfortable having strangers going in and out of your personal residence at all hours....?
