I thought that Florida was one of the States that it was easy to "Carry", from my experience most concerned types, do carry protection, legally. 

To answer your question, if someone in my family got Ebola and we needed to stay indoors for 21 days in order to protect the neighbors, I would happily do it, and feel it my responsibility to do so.

There are no secret formulas and no conspiracy but security is need to protect the public.

Should the government who spends billions protecting endangered salamanders and or spend Billions on Super fund sights..

The builder may or may not have had problems but neighbors may have raised heck or collectively made an offer purchasing an interest in specific lots to "protect" the homeowner's property values.A trick of builder developers is to build nicer homes first, then infill latter with cheaper homes allowing the nicer home to influence price, they also add commercial later on as either depresses value of the nicer home built first.

In the end, it protects both of us from misunderstandings, which can lead to hard feelings.   

Same for a lot of other RE jobs like wholesaling, property management, developing, etc.If you're holding rentals then owning them by an LLC might give you some asset protection.
