After finishing the renovations I hired a property manager and started renting it as STVR.

BIFI servicing (newly created by a  BP member and note investor so they are still adding states), Madison Management, Evergreen, FCI, Allied, AHP Servicing, State Bridge, Landhome, Fay Servicing. 

I currently have a tenant in a home I am managing, I have been using Avail and as of recent I don't like the platform, I have noticed that my tenant like to edit the payment after the due date and that makes the collection date longer (Avail takes a whole week or more to get the rent in).

@Frank Macias, If youre still looking at managed real estate when you leave the country you'd be well advised to look seriously at doing the 1031.

Hi, we have a small family fund investing in Canadian mortgage funds (like a fund of funds) that already put capital in 6 managers.  

Ask them to share their STR management VRBO, AIRBNB etc, and look at their costs.Use their vendors if they offer positive opportunities and use that as a way to ask for "Earn your Business' type discounts.

Here are a few of my questions:- How much money should I save up before starting to invest in properties- Is there a market that would be best for someone such as myself, or is it just personal preference- Do I need to hire people such as agents, contractors, property managers, etc. or will that all be later on once i build up my portfolio- When is the best time to begin purchasing?

I recommend reading “Long-Distance Real Estate Investing: How to Buy, Rehab, and Manage Out-of-State Rental Properties” - I found it to be very helpful when I got started investing 2.5 years ago.
