I learned recently that before the housing crash he had 20 + employees and it got to a point he had to lay everyone off and he had to scratch by doing odd jobs to make it through...I think the downturn was pretty hard on him as the market he was in came to a screeching halt -- now I think it's 3-4 people that work with him.  

Figure how much tile, backerboard, mortar & grout you need.

New roof, HVAC, ceramic tile in kitchen and baths, vinyl plank flooring and made every repair on the inspection report.

The biggest job is putting in a cheap ceramic tile kitchen floor, bolting lower kitchen cabinets to the walls, maybe adding 1 lower kitchen cabinet and then new durable but inexpensive countertops.  

The basement floor has chipped tile that leaves an adhesive residue behind.

You start with the goals, and reverse engineer the plan, laying out a series of achievable milestones (financial)...then turn around a follow the breadcrumbs.OK.
