The prices are much more affordable and I could scale a rental portfolio much quicker than in the city/suburbs, just wondering if they are too risky with the lack of employment opportunities in the immediate area.

I have read that some people in other cities even have their lists show high equity delinquent taxes.

I've seen videos and read about it, but whats the actually process.

This was a good read, I just moved here and am looking at vehicles to invest in.

So I have been doing my research, reading and learning as much as I can about investing, looking around for the niche that fits my situation.

Since then I have been self-educating as much as possible by listening to hundreds of podcasts, researching blogs, and reading books like "The Book on Investing in Real Estate with No (and Low) Money Down" as well as "The Book on Rental Property Investing". 

I've been reading and consuming content for 8 months, my husband and I are working to save our first 25k, and I have a hefty student loan bill I'm paying down. 

When I bought my house I don't recall anyone ever telling me that or reading it, granted I wasn't looking as I intended to be here longer. 

Don't just read the lease!
