You could ask that they sign a dual agency agreement- designated or not.

If the only duplexes they can use are similar in condition, style, design and appeal with the only differences being acreage, school systems and a different part of town, an appraiser will use those comps and savage your value.I hope not, but my experience is they'll give value to the duplexes over new subdivisions.Stephanie

You can talk to a local house designer, architect, or design build contractor.

They are far more important than resetting the depreciation clock.It's like choosing furniture for a house that is not built or designed yet.

Whereas a shower curtain rod, however fancy, isn't as complicated.While I agree the door is nicer, you ought to make your decisions about bathroom design with long-term replacement costs in mind.

(e) Find out who did the design for the project (paint color scheme, tile, flooring, countertops, selections of vanities, plumbing & light fixtures, etc).

My cousin keeps needling me to sell it and every time I tell her I will buy her out but she has never agreed to sit down and work it out.

All other homes would either be designated non-owner occupied (investment) or vacation home.
