What initially drew me into DSCR was being able just to show the "W2", "income amount coming" and as long as the rent comps were in positively cash flowing everything was good, and not having to ping my credit. 

So I definitely think understanding the big picture and how your situation aligns with your personal goals should be taken into consideration.
