A good inspector is not just going to inspect the interior of the unit, but also the building itself, air conditioning unit (usually on the roof), etc.

@Brian Ellis you would probably have better luck supporting it with a stud wall instead of trying to incorporate it into the block wall as you already have studs sitting against the interior of the block.

I've built a spreadsheet with a good sample size of data and the answer is yes, it's viable.The best rental units for profitable incomes are upscale oceanfront condos with 2 or 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, updated interior, direct ocean view and in a zone and HOA that allows at least a 3-day minimum stay.

Sounds like the property was foreclosed and the previous owner’s redemption rights expires on 05/17.You may not necessarily get access to the interior, unless the tenant agrees....play nice, but yeah, at $200/mo he’s got to go.

Call me crazy, but my guess is that many real estate investors don't specialize in interior design which is why I'm curious to know why there isn't more discussion about design resources and adding a designer to your investment team.
