You could explore with your respective accountants creating a holding corporate structure that would take title to, control, and manage the portfolio.  

I'd like to see if I could borrow 500k by offering perhaps a large down payment or some alternative forms of finance and am exploring different options.

I've only been exploring this whole new world for a month now, but I am about to start my 4th book (I'm a slow reader but getting faster) and have not listened to music in the car for a while now, just podcasts and it's been really amazing learning about real estate.I am currently the engineering & quality assurance manager for an overhead crane company in Azle and I'm looking to further my knowledge in real estate and figure out how and when to make my first deal.

I'm exploring Texas to expand into as I have boots on the ground there, but I am finding that property prices aren't exactly cheap and taxes are pretty high for most.

Please update me on any deals and/or areas ANYWHERE though because i'm very interested in exploring all options always!

You could also explore Facebook groups of real estate investors local to your area.If it doesn't matter where your CPA is located, browse the BP forums and see who is getting recommended.

An alternative source of funding for a deal is private money that you might wish to explore further as well. 

While I'm exploring our national parks, I'm just keeping the rentals up and running and cash flowing. 

I can't seem to make the rental numbers work toward a positive cash flow on any property in the area -- so I'm exploring other areas around the US.I agree the market is absolutely crazy right now!
