While @Joe Villeneuve is an amazing sage of REI, in this case I would disagree on the sale side of thing, but only as a modifier, as i would strongly advise attaining mortgage financing, and then deploy that capital into a good strategic property purchase, namely in the path of progress where rents and market pricing is going strong with a strong future forecast given the high desire and demand, namely in the NW suburbs.

My family and I got here about three years ago (moved closer to family), and I have since worked with many couples who have found their way here for either a primary or investment property.SLO is a great place to buy because prices (comparatively) are lower, quality of life is much higher- and yes as someone else noted- slower, but there is high demand for LTR, MTR, and STR year round because of the weather, colleges, three hospitals, and tourism.

At this point we started receiving calls from the city inspector, city mayor, and other random officials calling to compliment us on our job and improving the community.Some problems I encountered were, the work had to be down in sections, traffic control and lane control, temporarily suspending and effecting tenants businesses, coordination with all the tenants the contractor, and the WEATHER.
