@Lenny WilbournLets leave this for the lawyers to answer but I will guess if this condition is not stated in the contract papers, you may have to swallow the hard pill.But this rightly raises the issue of ethics in the REI profession.

IE that they are still on the hook for the loan and if your student fails to pay on the first they are liable or it will trash their credit.Also how do you prepare your students if the loan is called when or if the alienation clause is envoked...

Do you do different type of lease agreements based on the college semester or are students responsible for the summer months as well?
