I've attended a Renatus event and have been speaking to a member who is successfully investing in properties and he is making me a believer of the program, but I've been hearing a whole lot of negative feed back on this program, what should I do?

I would start with education and @Ben Leybovich has a great program I bought called CFFU.

You could also look int programs like the good old fashioned Dave Ramsey Plan or talk with the folks at the CCCS (Consumer Credit Counseling Services) https://credit.org/cccs/.

Talk to the state if you want to know what the CA programs and regulations are like.
