My lender had in her paperwork that we had to call her directly to lock our rate (no email allowed).

She made the money back in her first flip so she thought it was worth it.

Hi Rob-Congratulations for taking the plunge, great approach, this could be a great move for you, the live-in flip, is not that big of an obstacle, just prepared to be a little uncomfortable as you proceed.

I was able to find a huge spreadsheet of all of the parcels in the city of Detroit.I downloaded it, and I'm able to cross reference the info I have to find the street address.Nice.My next obstacle is finding something similar for the rest of the cities in Wayne county, but I would imagine that I could get one with a FOIA request to the municipalities, if they don't want to give it up nicely LOL

I know renting is better down the road, but my wife is deeply concerned with someone else living in "her house." 

He had to overcome quite a few obstacles on his first out of state project.
