@Angela Meraklis-Lyons If this truly was a mistake on the part of the student loan company, and they told you that your loans were in deferment for a longer period than they actually were, the best thing you can do is have them extend the deferment in their system, and get the error corrected on your credit report.

But your questions about do I buy health insurance or auto insurance the answer is I absolutely do, but I don't pay for health insurance that doesn't have good coverage or auto insurance that doesn't pay out on claims and my entire suggestion is that home warranty policies are akin to buying extended warranty coverages.
