As ****** as it was to discover this 12 hours before I was supposed to board a plane I successfully used my big boy auger to cut and pull the roots.

The only exception would be if you found a tenant sooner, then you are legally required to cut the former tenant loose at that point.

There doesn't appear to be a path to provide enough value to get a cut of the deal, although you may be able to bird-dog for someone.
