It depends on how far away you are from having the money for a down payment, you might try peer to peer lending like Lending Club or even something like Realty Shares where you have less control over the real estate but a lower barrier to entry.

OMG/SMH...I am so embarrassed that I feel obligated to share my vulnerability with the BP community...Quick story - I just burned $200 on fire (figuratively) on my first day of my first flip.

His income cratered during the 2008 crash when they slashed the dividend from $1.24/share to .46/share.

She is also a real estate investor and we shared our stories and I made a new contact.  

My cousin has power of attorney for his parents, and within the past three years, his father has signed over all the shares of the family business / corporation to him.
