I understand that some education you have to pay for but with all the free info out there now what is a benefit of paying a person to teach you.

The Building Dept, an experienced Realtor, an Insurance agent who is knowlegable on rental propertiers all could be other sources of that info.

So many people willing to help and give info it's pretty astounding, really.

I guess the real bummer here is that this is a community bank that markets itself on serving marginal communities and helping non-traditional/first time buyers and they SUCK and are giving people bad info and bad outcomes.
