I basically have explored every neighborhood EXCEPT north Vegas, lol.

I have had a great success in the Syracuse market but keep in mind it’s a cash flow market, you won’t see a lot of appreciation happening there generally speaking with the exception of a few areas .. inexpensive to buy into though ;)

The other thing that sucks is that an electrical rewire would be the ONLY reason I would need to tear into the walls, they are in great shape otherwise except for some needed drywall patching. 

Under no circumstances have 2 people pay for the same time in the same place. 

That's not including property Management vacancy repairs capital expenditures , or go with a two-family and live in the basement for the same 750 I am currently paying in the apartment that I'm renting except I would have my own apartment instead of sharing a room .

Chances are listing it on MLS and selling it to a handy owner occupant is her best case scenario, but exigent circumstances could exist.

But flipping vs renting depends on your personal circumstances.

The repairs we did were minimal except for the septic repair which costed a few thousand dollars.
