We were able to live for "free" which enabled us to put together money to remodel both units without tapping into much credit - which had the effect of rents increasing from 600 to 1200 in the other unit.

Typically the home search sites are using IDX or RETS feeds from the MLS.Theres a lot of advantages with the using the actual MLS, including: you can search for properties with much more search criteria, search for comps more effectively, get lockbox codes so you can see the property, set alerts so you get notified immediately when a property of interest hits the market, and see the actual status of properties.

Tax lien should fall off after 7 years...if it's a federal tax lien sometimes after satisfaction you can request a removal from your report...I know some states will as well but others will only report it as satisfied.Regardless of what I said before it shouldn't effect you unless you're personally going to be applying for a loan.
