Imagine this scenario, you hired your friend plumber and in the way of his plumbing cuts a joist which leads to structural damage and you go to your insurance to claim repair money.

It included a nice home and other buildings it was 20 acres smack dab in the middle of their 500 acre retreat.Well like a couple of bozo's my dad and I are so excited we drive right up there after the sale and some how let it out that we bought it.they lawyer up and they sue to stop the sale.. they claimed they were exempt from paying tax's like churchs are .. but they bough this property subject too tax's and never paid the back tax's so while they did not owe when they owned it the tax's were for previous owner..

I'm eager to stake my claim in the Brooklyn rental market, specifically with multi-family properties (thinking less than 5 units), but I'm having an impossible time finding a property with numbers that make profitable sense. 

We've asked subcontractors to do the same thing (1099/ Contract) and many of them have also rejected the idea of filling out the 1099 to claim the money we paid them on taxes.

.- Know that it is possible to have a tax sale later ruled invalid (usually because an interested party claims/proves they weren't properly notified of the sale). 

This particular contractor was shady (tried to get paid earlier than his schedule, claimed the property passed "first inspection" while all they got was a permit, etc....)Please advise how I should move forward as I am meeting him tomorrow.

However I do believe you can probably just like BP  DIY  not sure you need any guidance to get credit cards.They then claim to roll you into business unsecured Lines of credit..

Not only would I give him back what he was asking for but I would give him all of the money back that you cannot claim yet and just accept payments when they are due.

This man claims to be a private lender.

Attorneys have the same opinion but one they suggest it is up to me to shut off or leave it on and claim..
