There's a better way - house hack.

Pro and Con: The leases are only 1 year, so adjusting rates, while ultimately market driven, have a better ability to keep up with inflation during high inflation times.  

I have 7 doors, and I wanted to get some ideas on a better way to screen for tenants.

This is a much better deal then on income, especially if you area self employed. 

Something I learned early on is, "there's always a better deal out there."

Are there better ways to make money right now besides real estate that you have experience in?

I think it's good for owner's to be a little bit hands on in the management until they build the right systems and process to be more passive, or better yet hire an internal manager yourself once your portfolio gets to the right size.  

Kicking myself for not growing our portfolio sooner but better late than never I guess.Here's the thing - We don't live in the US, my husband is a US citizen but since he hasn't lived in the US for many years he has no credit history.Now comes the fun part - we are in a lot of debt where we live (like $115k in loans).

I would also wonder why the property manager who screens the tenants better than an app would have so many evictions that court becomes a normal part of life.I guess in my lucky simplistic mind I don’t see the need for a manager.

Is this a good idea I should continue pursuing or are there better options?
