I was also lucky enough to (VERY CAREFULLY) convince them to pay their entire outstanding electric bill, which would've been passed on to me, before letting them pick up their last two large items that they left behind.

Don't carry revolving debt or balances of more than 30% of your total credit worthiness, pay your cards on time, don't close old accounts and be sure to resolve an outstanding balance discrepancies that any of the 3 major agencies may be holding against you.I always advise on checking your free credit report once a year from each of the 3 reporting agencies to be sure there is no false information or accounts that you don't recognize.

I would never buy a home because a realtor tried to predict the future, but I also wouldn’t continue to rent instead because a poster on the internet with no dog in the fight and nothing to lose, who didn’t know my financial situation or even geographical location told me not to.
