In Islip for example, if your two-family use has operated continuously since prior to 12/12/1967 (I think is when the code changed), you have existing non-conforming status.

If in CA the policy costs more based on entity type, does a rental property cost more to insure based on your marital status too?

Account Closed kind of pointed this out, but I think it deserves to be mentioned here (with all the back and forth) that whether or not a tenant is gross or clean has nothing to do with their socio-economic status.

I think an interesting spin off to this conversation would be what first world problems did you not have pre millionaire status vs now post?

We had a fire two years back and fire victims get first-in-line status for any permits for rebuilding, remodeling, etc.
