Then why not make your team sit together and do a collective brainstorming to generate a wide array of ideas.It is a centre stage act that creative brainstorming should take place to solve a significant internal or external challenge.

However I would tell you not to get discouraged but rather to work to be creative and ways that you hadn't thought of before.

You could also be creative and have a trenchless service do the job for you on that 4.5', not sure if it brings the price down.
