I have the same problem with viewing unmet saving/investing goals as loosing money when at the end of the day, it's all in the black and not red.About 4 years ago I started reading the Mister Money Mustache blog and it kind of ruined me a bit.

Doug that's the kettle calling the pot black .. your actually quite rude and bring no value as to what I  see other than non sense statements....

I agree with @John Nachtigall the term slum landlord gives the whole industry a black eye. 

Not to mention the disparity of opportunity if you are born black vs. white.

It just is not true.I told the story several times about the 20-year old girl who ran away to the U.S. from her parents in Japan.

I try not to look at everything as black and white.

Do we know it's a "Black" focused thing....(???)
