it's net sales price.I don't know how to explainthey want you to reinvest into like kind property that is equal or great than net sales price of relinquished property.my accountant told me, if u have debt/mortgage they want u to obtain higher debt. either keep your debt amount, or refinance to higher debt.ex. you sell $500k, you have $300k in debt and $200k in equity.they want to to replace with $500k or higher but your debt needs to be 300k or higher. keep your 200k equity it doesn't mean you replace with $200k.

if they are meeting with u and u never moved in, i'm sure they will give u the full deposit back. it's the right thing to do in my opinion.i'm not understanding why they didn't just clean it though...

Once you get that document and it may be called something else at your office, u can quickly determine if there is even property there, where that property is in case you wanted to do a drive by.
