Does anybody have any tips on how to successfully appeal property taxes?

I think there may be some condo rules/by-laws that prohibit this (that when a unit is purchased it needs to be owner occupied first and a for a certain amount of time before renting).

Having said that Minnesota does not have termites due to our weather so we don't do pest inspections, we don't require hurricane insurance, or earthquake coverage, but many but not all lake properties require flood insurance.

When do you look at a property?

Not many thought a $3 million property was the best first investment.  

I'm closing on my properties now so it's a little easier but there's still a lot to do.

Right now there is no sign of flooding or anything, but just wondering if that is a positive thing or negative thing to the property?
