BP needs to develop AI and use Jay answer as the most "trustable" and "genuine" answer without any string attached.I still remember to this day Jay advice to buy the house that's on median price for that local.

New Jersey gets a bad reputation because there are cities with extremely strict landlord laws, people invest in those areas thinking they are getting a good deal because the numbers "look good" on paper, long story short many of these areas are horrible places to invest with some of the strictest landlord laws in the world.

@Benjamin Aaker is on the money.Your income probably prevents you from using RE to offset your W2 income but you can still use deductions and depreciation to offset rental income.If you are looking to REI to reduce your taxable income on your W2 earnings REI won’t help much at all.One needs to be precise when discussing tax law.
