You need to see if they have any restrictions on paint colors and or what they allow you to do to the exterior before you make an offer. 

Builder beige is a popular color for a reason.

The color of the house is horrid, but the siding is in good shape.

Josh, sorry this is a repeat from another topic but I'd like to see the number of people (in a contrasting color) that are in the chat room in the nav bar on the left.

It's easier to pretend being interested than to tell you they don't like the floor layout or the paint colors.

If you plan to resale (flip) the home and would like to sell it fast you should consider updating the kitchen and bathrooms if needed, you should stick to neutral colors inside and out (tile, carpet, stucco etc.) ad low maintenance landscaping.
