Payal, I am born and raised in Charlotte, lived there all my life until a few years ago, still maintain property there and go back to visit every few months to see my parents.

They are not REALLY oversea people, they are US citizens/greencard holders but they are ethnically minorities, English is not first language and they weren’t born and raised here.

I don't have a link for those but it took a while to find a pillow encasement that wouldn't trap air and make the pillow into a balloon. 

So many good points mentioned here like low supply and high demand which is one factor, cheap money (low interest rates), immigration wait lists, great place to live (when foreigners research Canada, they immediately are drawn to BC, landlocked and the likeness of Vancouver to Sydney Australia (when I was born and raised and saw property continually climb year after year to this day!!)

Raj, you seems like another bay area folks that has money and get excited too quick in real estate LOL :-)Please be warn though, anything real estate is like catching software bugs, there're lot of traps and minefield in any investments including ADU.Other than the appraisal issue, be wary on post-ADU tax,etc.

Just call your local pest control to come lay some traps.
