Looks like the only way to get cost of construction for a comparable property is from the owner or from the builder.

What's written in there regarding the owners responsibility vs. tenant responsibility.  

I wanted to buy a multifamily house in Albany NY.I just need an advice where is the good area to invest in Albany?

. - I think the best suggestion to the owner would be a sale leaseback option as a way to incentivize them to think about pulling the trigger sooner. 

We've had an oversupply in housing the past 2 years or so and will probably continue for the next 1-2 years, but everything I'm seeing has shown next construction starts have dropped substantially in the past 1-2 years so good chance we have an undersupply again in about 2-4 years once everything still being completed does finish and gets leased up.

I have about 170,000 in quality in my house and thought of using that but then.people say no don't do that get a loan and others say use you equity so not sure who to believe.

Additionally, while Japan provides tax deductions for housing that you live in, it doesn't seem to provide such deductions for investment property.
