you have affordable housing as in cheap rent and then you have affordable housing for first time homebuyers who have done what is necessary to buy something and not be life long renters.the issue is complex when it comes to affordable housing. out in the West coast government red tape has increased the cost of a new home by at least 100k per house. land prices are very high cant buy a building lot for much less than 100 to 150k within in commute or metro area.then U have cost to construct which is at 100 to 300 a foot..
