Option 1 is to go back to your lender / broker and just say, "I can't get that, what else will work?"  

I currently house hack a duplex in Bergen County and am wondering if any North Jersey folks here have successfully implemented MTRs and what worked/didn’t.

The quicker we can build and sell a home, the quicker we can put that capital back to work.

For example, I have a potential client that has decent unit with a solid location but the decor/furnishings remind of a frat boy out of college meets IKEA/Amazon.A unit like this will suffer from poor design and the reviews will show as well which I do not want affecting my reputation or Super Host status.Do I just decline taking them on if they are not willing to work on it?

Thank youSS I work with a lender familiar with this but they are going to want to see a very large downpayment. 30-50%. 

The only think is conventional would be low 6s right now according to my lender and we would have to see what works out better if that is the case.
