Ok, so I understand that everyone's situation, property, location is different and thus I'm stressing that this was just my own personal experience and I'm over it - after only 2 weeks ;-)Beginning of the year I decided that I wanted to do airbnb on some properties that I was renovating.

Finding a good tenant, even if you lose a month or two rent doing that, will save you thousands and many headaches and much stress.

It makes these types of decisions a lot easier, more quantitative, less guesswork, and with less stress and emotion.  

Plus if you do take a large pay cut that will both steal from potential savings you could have acquired as well as possibly put you in a stressful financial situation depending on your monthly expenses.

I'd hire a good real estate attorney and counter sue for the headache and stress they caused.

I know people that had their Real Estate attorney do all that for them and paid them per hour, and they ended up much more stressed about the bill and paying almost as much as a commission to the attorney. 

It is detailed, stressful, befuddling and frustrating to most people.
