A transfer to an LLC will trigger the clause and should therefore be avoided even though banks are hesitant to ever foreclose as long as the note is being paid.

FHA Insured reverse mortgages have 2 recorded mortgages, both at 150% of the appraised value, One for the actual Mortgage, and the second as essentially an Insurance piece from FHA, the release is dependent on the balance being paid, so unless you know how much has been drawn, you simply will not know. since the borrower has died, Foreclosure will start, as Death or Moving out of the mortgaged property are both triggers for foreclosure. good luck

If you are paying with your own cash, then you shouldn't have to worry, but if you get bank financing or other secured lending you may trigger a due on sale clause when you make the LLC contribution.

If your bank already sent the appraiser on a conventional order and now you want to switch, it is possible you will trigger another inspection from the appraiser, as they might not have done all the FHA stuff and will need to go back and check.
