Hey Randee, totally can relate with you being from an expensive real estate market - I moved to Columbus a few years ago (from Portland, Oregon which was super expensive) to become a full time real estate investor, and ever since, I've completed quite a lot of BRRRRs, flips, and own a successful rental portfolio here in Columbus Ohio.

My intial thought when I read these requests is that my risk profile would be completely different than a long term tenant.

., When you purchased the 4 properties to complete your 1031 exchange your accountant allocated the basis (and profit) from your sale into each of those. 

Each unit has been completed upgraded.

It sounds like you want to STR or MTR so when you come you have a place to stay.
