So that does lend to the stereotype of mentality of a government worker expecting to be taken care of.If they do not have an emergency fund to get them through a few months of unexpected events, then they have not managed their money very well and it is hard to have compassion for someone who is capable enough to get a job working for the government but not capable enough to follow basic financial management skills.
