HI Delaney, a lot of people will say to be carful in the Hilltop and South Linden areas of Columbus because of crime and other negative variables.

My wife currently stays home with our 3 children and I work a mid-level corporate job ($76K salary), so my DTI ratio is high.I have identified 30 properties in my area that are either vacant land or are occupied but make some sense to slice off 7-12 acres for this move.

10 k is good.Some people have done it without anything.Find the property and financing.Go from there.Just make sure you can get a decent profit.

It would almost certainly make more sense for them to pocket the earnest money and find a new buyer.

I'm in Orlando and see this so much, people with young families will buy a STR because they will be coming here 1-2 X a year for the next 10-15 years.

In some cases a primary residence makes perfect sense to rent; in others renting it becomes a big cash suck. 

Sometimes, I come across a deal where it makes sense to have more than 1 private lender/investor.

That means its overpriced....which means, the people who bought it think its worth more than it is simply because its a Frank Looyd Wright.
