Multiple pulls in a 2 week time period is usually counted as one pull as the algorithms know you are rate shopping.If you get pulls going on a few months each time you try to locate a property to buy then it can affect your score.If you know your score is high say above 740 middle score then you typically qualify for the best rates anyway and do not need credit pulled in the beginning.No legal advice given.

I recently read somewhere, that if there are multiple hard pulls on your credit within a 2 week period, that the credit bureau only counts these pulls as 1 single ding?

You should have a minimum square footage of home (and possibly a max), minimum bed/bath count, location specifics (can be multiple locations), type of properties (standard sale, REO, short sale, probate, etc - I go after them all), and your price point of $250k should have a specific range, for example $100k - $300k.

You may be counted as high risk with the multiple loans, so financing in general may be difficult depending on your current income.Also, if you haven't already, take a look at what the current leases are renting for.
